BOnte PILAR GrANGUE
ASPIRING FILMMAKER | SOUND MIXER | SCREENWRITER
Born and raised in Texas, Bonte Grangue’s Mexican-American and African cultural background has influenced her passion for writing and filmmaking.
Currently studying at Pratt Institute for a BFA in Film, Bonte has worked with MixPre and Zoom audio recorders, lavaliere and shotgun microphones, and has assisted directors on student short films by monitoring, correcting, and recording levels and audio on-set throughout production. She assisted cast and crew by monitoring live levels and cues using a live soundboard, lavaliere, and a stand-up microphone, while cueing entrances, exits, and sound effects.
Bonte was the sound mixer for the film “HEAVEN,” directed by Trey Woodbine. It screened at the Museum of Moving Image for the Teen Film Festival 2026 and at BRIC House's Gallery. She also sound-mixed for “MY WOMB FOR HIRE,” directed by Sarah Goodman, which was the Short Shorts Competition Winner at the Reproductive Rights Film Festival 2025.
Bonte is a dedicated, ambitious, organized Film student with a 3.6 cumulative GPA with excellent time management skills. She works productively under pressure, and can successfully execute various tasks within a limited time frame. She also leads teams on projects while possessing creative problem-solving skills, approaches issues with a calm and serious demeanor, and possesses superior communication and money handling skills.
